The FDA recently alerted pet owners that there were small amounts of pentobarbital (a drug used in euthanizations) in several of The J.M. Smucker Company's canned dog food brands including Gravy Train, Kibbles 'N Bits, Ol' Roy and Skippy.
After learning about these results, J.M. Smucker initiated a withdrawal of specific products that were found to have contained or potentially contain this drug. These products were distributed to retailers nationwide and the company is withdrawing all lots manufactured since 2016. Check your cupboards for the following products and monitor your pet for illness if your dog has consumed any of these products.
